You can get one from any authorized Buell dealer. The ones designed by Buell work great, are high quality, and are inexpensive too. | ||

My HD/Buell dealer told me the only thing they could find is the Buell Comfort Kit made for the Ulysses, part# M1907.1AK, cost was approx. $119.95 and is still a current item direct from the vendor for the Buell dealer. They didn't know if it would work on my 2007 XB12S or not. Anyone familiar with this comfort kit? | ||

I am running out the door, so I can't grab you the part numbers right now, but there is two scoop options available, both are at American Sport Bike. One is a small $15 scoop that bolts on using your existing hardware, and the second is a larger 2 piece scoop from the comfort kit, it requires some extra screws, all together about $55. The comfort kit comes with extra parts not compatible with your bike. | ||

Technically, isn't there 3 options for scoops? The small single piece like mine, the large 2 piece Uly comfort type and the other Uly 2 piece scoop intended for the XP model. | ||

What's "SD" riding? A lot of ppl had their fan come on while riding, and the RSS resolved that issue for them... I have to admit that my fan never came on while riding before installing the RSS, so adding the RSS did not make much of a difference to me, except for having a bit less heat radiation from the engine in city traffic... More cooling can't hurt though, especially that I typically ride quite hard... | ||

Sorry amigo, San Diego... just wondering if it made a difference for our temps. I've heard my fan on a few times - doesn't bother me but I would think the less it runs, the less long term wear and tear, etc. and cooling anything on an air-cooled motor can't hurt. | ||

Just beware some people are not happy with they way there buell / harley designed scoops look. They feel that they could have spent a bit more time in the look of the scoop. Everyone will post pics of the scoop from the side view, but the reality is that from the riders perspective the scoop looks alittle less then to be desired. It looks like a half a scoop. A quick fix. It does work though. It will keep your bike cooler, and its cheap. Just remmember you get what you pay for. I am not even going to show you my scoop cause im not here to sell you on a product, but I will tell you there are alternives that look great and work great just like the lift side. Bought the rt. side scoop for the 05 and 06 xb's from American Sport bike. Work o.k., look o.k. Some slight differences so one of the screws doesn't line up immediately between the engine side piece and he outside of the scoop so a little bending of the ear/screw seat. Pretty cheap alternative and they had them in stock not too long ago. LJM | ||

$270!!!! That's $220 more just because the Uly scoop looks a little weird from the rider's perspective?? who the hell looks at their RSS while riding??? I've never noticed its top view uglyness but now I have to check  Brightbuell: it's a panasonic mini DV camcorder which is mounted directly on the stock turn signal bracket. I removed the bracket, checked that it was re-enforced internally (which it was: there's a metal tube inside the stalk) and simply drilled a hole through the plastic part around the tubing (no impact to the tubing to keep strength) and then used a butterfly bolt (hardware store) which goes through the turn signal bracket from the bottom and screws directly in the camcorder threaded insert (they all have one). I added a rubber grommet between the camcorder and bracket to get rid of some vibrations and it works pretty well... You need both + the screws (not sure of the PN anymore, but you can get them at your hw store...) | ||

Yep, they are in there. Like I said above (I think) one screw didn't like up on both of them, but a little bending, heating worked. Got them in 5 days via usps. LJM | ||

Hodakaharold, i wish i had known that before i ordered mine last week. i would've definately ordered it from somewhere else. somewhere that didnt take three weeks to ship it. maybe i'll design my own before it gets here and just flip that one to a fellow bueller. haha |
