Tried this out over the weekend.. not too much effort, for a very satisfying outcome. Not sure I'm ready to go for the completely polished look yet....I kind of like the sanded look. Took a few hours, but that's because the security dog wasn't happy we got sent to the garage for the night during girls night...

Took it for a ride after finishing and immediately got pulled over....new year, and the 2010 tags were still on the counter. Dang! I thought he was pulling me over from the WD40 burning off the muffler...just a warning, whew!

Color turned the same gold hue that others have shown.

I like it! Thanks for the ideas and tips!

Looking good you all !

Maybe someone has a spare dented tarnished pipe and wouldn't mind doing an experiment:

Apply bleach to the pipe .It may make the tarnish magically disappear, or it may not, or stain the metal. Be careful applying and don't get any on anything else. Maybe leave a bleached rag lay on the pipe for a few. This of course is at your own risk .

Then about 15 minutes and some Mother's. Polished put a little shine on them...

isn't hard to get the pipes on and off? That's what I think I'm hearing from people.
