Author Message   Swamp2 Posted on Sunday, February 07, 2010 - 04:56 pm:        I made a deal on a new '09 XB12Ss a few weeks ago, but it was up in New Hampshire and I'm in NY. As it turns out, the dealer (Manchester HD-Buell) is only about 40 miles from good friends of ours in Mass - so we picked a weekend when they'd be around - then we went up and crashed with them for a couple days, picked up the bike and all's well. Happily the weather was respectful up here this weekend, the roads were dry all the way home (~375 miles) and the bike - sitting out on my trailer didn't get any salt spray or anything. Anyway, it was a really good weekend. The guys at the dealer told me they were the #1 Buell dealer in the country for sales which struck me a little weird, being up in New Hampshire but I guess it's possible. They still have a few - saw an 1125R, 1 or 2 XB12Scgs, a couple blasts, a couple XB12R's and a XB12XT with like 1000 miles or so. They did seem to be a Buell-enthusiast dealer, much more so than my local dealer - several of the guys in the shop were allegedly Bueller's. I'll get the pleasure of being screwed an additional 8% by the NYS DMV when I go to register it. That said, I think it was a pretty reasonable deal. Doesn't seem like there's a lot of new Ss's left out there - I found the find-a-bike on buell.com led me to a lot of "that's long gone" responses.
