I have the manual and it doesn't show how to disassemble the Rebound adjuster assembly. I am anodizing the forks and want to do those pieces too. I already have the forks completely apart. I was looking at it and it looks like the hole in the aluminum part lines up with a detent notch in the rod. It looks like the brass part might have a female thread that the rod threads into. So if you secure the rod then the brass adjuster can be unthreaded. I might be completely wrong though. I thought there might be someone who has done this already. Thank you |

How to disassemble the forks, completely is in the service manual, along with some gotch yous. Like changing the length of the rod via the brass coupling can change things. I've rebuilt my forks several times and for the life of me I can't figure out what is visible that would need anodizing relating to the rebound adjuster that sets inside the cap |

The FACTORY sservice manual has the right stuff. It can be taken apart but you better know how to set it up for re assembly. |

You have to disassemble the forks to get to the blue/green damper rod. Follow the book or search Badweb or go to a dirt bike shop and have them do it. might ask someone if you can anodize something that is already anodized. I just re serviced my fork last night |
