Trojan seems to have a nice unit. Anyone here in the states sell a kit that can raise my Buells tail? I'd like to know what all the options are. |

Seems there are no other options, so Trojan it is. Anybody here raised the tail on an XB12SS ? Some custom seat work might look nice to. Some hard painted piece for the passenger portion, or just some upholstery work to slope that part of the seat more towards the faux tank / airbox. |

I don't understand the inquiry. Are you talking about raising the rear suspension's ride height? If so, you're messing with geometry/handling. |

He is referring to a kit that allows raising the seat frame at a greater angle. Trojan makes the only complete kit I've seen. Not my photo, I googled it.

Why would somebody want to do that? |

I think it looks great. But the kit is rather expensive for just two pieces of metal and some bolts. |

Why would somebody want to do that? Why would you do anything to our Buell's??? Because we as Buell enthusiast's express our selves much different then any other group in alot of way. Funny.... Buell did alot already for us. |

And the rider'll keep sliding forward against the tank. I think I'll stick to function-before-form. |

maybe its for fat chicks to ride on the back. although i think the small seat would pose more of a problem for big girls than any ride heigth would. wonder why you dont see much of this in the homeland |

Yep, which is nice with the large seats our Buell's provide. It is hard enough to hang on when doing 150, this will help. Also the more forward seating can help your body positioning. I plan on doing it to my Uly one of these days. |

Looks stupid to me, but hey it's your bike. |

It looks like it was rear-ended by a semi. I can't see anything particularly desirable about it... |

I don't see what there isn't to like about it. |

Well I will admit it doesn't look as strange with the frame rail being black. But I'll stick with stock, thanks... |

Plus, isn't that an SCG Froggy? Imagine how high up the tail would appear if that was an SS! |

First pic is one of Trojan's SS, second pic is Wavex's SCG. I need to photoshop a Uly with it |

You sure it's not just an S? Tail looks too short, and that looks like the old SCG or SL seat... That Uly tail would be sky high! Doooo iiiiit.... *edit: Odd! I have clicked into this thread several times, and the SS pic you posted JUST showed up for the first time! I thought you meant the pic way up in thread... Yup, that's an SS! What's the point of the jacked up seat? Seems like the angle'd pitch the rider against the tank. Weird. |
