So I am in the market for a set of tires for my 9S. I am currently running Metzler M-3's and have no real complaints about them. The rear is squarred right off by now and the front is on its way. We don't have good, curvey terrain here so my rides are to work and home...boring. We do go for rides and get into some twisties so I don't want highway junk but would like to see what others are running and getting for mileage out of them. I have about 5k on my tires now...not too bad from what I understand. I am not a knee dragger but ride a bit on the spirited side most of the time so I need to be able to trust them. THanks for the input and if it isn't gonna dump snow to rip the sled...bring on the bike weather.

I love the Strada's. Only thing that will make me stray from them is the need to be able to go off the pavement.

They seem to work great in all temperatures (down to 20 no problem) as well as in the wet.

I have no complaints about traction either. Both on Stradas:

Lot's of people are going with Pilot Road 2's now as well. I've heard good things about them, but have no personal experience.

That is amazing news! I'm going to switch to Syncs to get more dirtability, but was really not looking forward to less mileage!

I ran syncs for a couple of years, I really liked them.....until I went to the Pilot Road II's. Turn in is better, corner feel is better, wet traction is fine with either, wet grass or dirt the syncs were better.

I never got more than 6000 miles on a rear sync, I did 11,000 on the Road II, and have not done enough miles to use up the second rear. Loving the Pilot Road II.

I put on a pair of Michelin Pilot Road ll's last April, and I have about 1200 miles on them.

They look like new, and I find the handling on the street to be simply outstanding.

With the previous "sticky buns" I had, the handling wasn't as good, and it got worse after about 1500 miles.

The diameter of the tires is slightly different than the Dunlop Qualifiers they replaced, so a minor adjustment to suspension set up was required. In addition, it seemed like it took a little bit longer to break them in, say 200 miles.

Of course, those who do track days will want softer tires.

Bottom line: Get some! You'l love them!

Thanks for the replies folks. I was going toward the Pilot Road 2's as it was so I think I made my mind up.
