granted I will not be riding for a while but while the bike is down I think I want new brake pads. I hated the pulsing from the stock pads and the on/off of the rear brake. so I installed lyndall gold pads up front and a brembo rear brake. now it feels like I have a block of wood on each side of the rotor instead of a friction material. any recommendations? |

Welcome to Lyndalls! You can "try" to clean the rotor with brake cleaner and CLEAN paper towels, then bed in the brakes, but that's what Lynd's feel like. I think they're okay street pads as they have a progressive feel to about 50% brake force, but after than, like wood... I would recommend organics (I like EBC) for street use and for "slow you down NOW!" brakes (but grabby when cold), go with sintered for track days. |

EBC, HH pads. Took a coupla hundred miles to clean off the rotor from any debris left from the old pads. Excellent, worthwhile pad swap. Mike |

+1 EBC HH "They even have a cool sound when applied." When I first installed them, I though I was being chased by a swarm of angry bees. |
