I received my exhaust from Odie yesterday (below): ...and I finished installing it this morning. I apologize for not putting the bike completely back together, but I couldn't feel my hands any longer. The temps here have been cold. Here are a couple pictures: I also moved the rear exhaust clamps. Now I can easily access them from the left side of the bike. -Nick- |

next time you are cold in the garage, take the car out and get it good and hot, then park it back inside and close the door.the heat from the engine will warm up the garage and should make it easier to work and yes the engine should be off and maybe even open the hood and let that heat out into the garage. ya gotta learn to beat the cold nice bike ! |

I just realized that I installed my header clamp on upside down. Here's how it's suppose to be: Do any of you guys think it matters since it's just a clamp? Thanks, Nick |

How long was your bike down? From the time you mailed it to the time you got it back. |

@ Widow I sent my exhaust away on 12/5/09 and received it on 12/29/09. Keep in mind that the midwest was hit with a big snow storm at that time and the south was hit with flooding. The Christmas holiday didn't speed up shipping either. Hope that helps. -Nick- |

The header clamp won't make a difference. |

I attempted to start the bike and it kicked over a couple of times (enough for me to hear a preview), but wouldn't stay running. I have a battery tender on it, but it has been so cold here in Iowa the past couple of weeks.... I'm going to wait for it to warm up before I try to fire it up again. -Nick- |

@ Widow - Call/PM Odie ... if he has any donor cans, he can make you a new one with it. You pay the full price up front for the exhaust, then once you get the new one from him and send him your old one, he refunds the 'core charge'. Win/win situation - you get the new pipe without losing any riding days. Good guy to work with ... very happy with mine! |
