Funny ad: like the Buell needs more torque. Anybody do the math to see what going to a 28 or 29 would do the top speed? Looks like you need to use it with the X6 kit. No discussion on what you do with a tighter/looser belt. There's no other belt choice available, right? |

Baker makes stuff for the tubers, so I don't even know if this is compatible with the XB or not. There is no way to adjust the belt, so this might not work because of that. |

What if you went to the free spirits tensioner? I'd be interested if this raised the top speed enough but I don't think it would be significant. |

It would lower top speed. its a 4% gear reduction according to the website. |

If it's compatible it gives folks who use their bike for both street and track a chance to make a bit of a gear change without going to a chain. For high-mileage folks, even dropping a mere 120 rpm at 60 mph with a one tooth larger pulley would mean spinning the engine noticeably fewer revolutions over 10,000 miles. Well it's either a gearing increase or decrease depending if you go to +1 or -1 tooth. Does anyone know if the tubers and XB's share the same output shaft on the tranny? |

I skipped over the higher tooth count one, my bad. I would love it to improve fuel economy. |

Yeah, I know I'm right in the sweet spot cruising down the highway but I'm just cruising so I don't really need everything right on tap. I'd like to drop down the rev's as much as possible and save some fuel. I mean a 6 speed would be my $$ no object dream. How much do these pulleys run anyways? |

Those six speeders look like they are for motors with trapdoors, which XBs don't have. |

Yeah I know the bakers are made for tubers but I remember reading somewhere that someone figured out a way to mix and match tranny parts to get it to work. It's $$$$ though. |
