The fact is, if they had done so well, there would be no need to close them up. A good look at their debt load and actual sales numbers will certainly show a disaster. |

Careful Kaveman....Chuck Norris once killed a whole Hell's Angels chapter with a salad fork because they mistook a Baldwin saddle for a Corbin. |

Guess the H-D Logo is no longer suitable, since Buell has been deleted from the lineup... But it does say "BUELL" on there... Kaveman I'll be careful of people bearing forks! |

Seriously...I will never buy another Corbin...too much BS the first time...and the quality didn't come close to the price mark. Next custom seat...you got it Loren... Is the saddle in the picture as low as the regular SCG low saddle??? |

Looks awesome...Loren, I hope you don't have plans to close up shop any time soon. I'm about to lose a ton of money selling my house, but once I've recouped from that I'll be ordering one of your seats! |

Actually I think Windward's seat looks a lot better than the Corbin. It has a sleeker profile. I wouldn't have gone with that texture in the saddle area, but I guess that's customer's choice. (Message edited by not_purple_s2 on November 06, 2009) |

I like the red stitching, nice touch and not overdone. I'm looking to get my stock Scg seat modified. I have a Kontour seat on my Streetrod. It feels like a couch compared to the stock low seat. The vibration transmissibility is awful in the stock foam!! I'll be checking out your site soon! -DD |

Imitated? It isn't worth the effort to imitate the garbage that is Corbin. The stock seat has superior construction to the Corbin, and lets not go into Corbin's customer service and quality control issues. Oh, and they even admit on their website that the seats fall apart when they get wet. |

I have had three to four corbin seats on my bikes. I actually bought just one of them, the rest came with the bikes. Their quality control has gone to crap in the last 10 years. Corbin will tell you it takes around 2K miles to break them in but I can tell you I have done 10K miles on a new corbin and it still sucked. I have two Baldwin seats. One on a XB and one on a S2T. My distance between stops has increased, now I just stop for gas. With the S2T that is somewhere around 200 to 240 miles per tank. I put a lot of miles on all my bikes and average around 25K miles a year between them. Baldwin seats are good products but you will never know it until you try one. Baldwin is not a clone of Corbin. If it was I would not have one, much less two of them. |

Didn't mean to Flame or discount the Baldwin. I thought he was tryin' to figure out what kinda seat it is in the first pic. Sure looks like a Corbin... I got my Corbin back in 03 and it seems to be VERY good construction and comfortable. I haven't got one of their recent seats, and have read that they have gone to crap. Sorry if you took my reply as a flame! Now I know where to get my next seat... Oh but then I guess I need another bike! Kaveman |

LOL Kaveman...I was just funnin'...I had a Corbin on my old Blast....and it was WAYYYY better than any of the stock seats..but the cost (Over 500.00 with tax and freight) compared to the crappy customer service and the finish of the seat was excessive. I know a quality saddle is expensive...I have no complaints with the cost...if you wanna play you gotta pay...but the Corbin had a very poor finish (the cover was lumpy and came loose from the foam)... I would rather pay a fellow Buelligan for a quality seat than some faceless don't give a crap corporation. |

>>>Well, interesting that you know these "facts". Perhaps you are right? I say PROVE IT. I think you are talking out your ass. I think they have NO DEBT, millions of equity and own ALL their buildings, property and finance their own inventory. The Patterson family has worked their asses off since starting in Colorado in the bicycle shop in 1929.

That's inaccurate and one of the problems with the internet where mental midgets can claim to be NBA All-Stars. The dealership is owned by a good friend of mine. In addition to being the MOST AWARDED Harley-Davidson dealership in the world, they are one of the best. I sponsored the owner when he was a young racer. He later joined me on a confidential mission at M.I.T. on a Buell project. He knows Buell and Harley-Davidson inside and out and has been extremely successful. Court |

Loren- Are you a BadWeb sponsor yet? I don't see you on the sponsor list. I ask because I like your product, and have considered one for my X1. You seem to have been around BadWeb for a while, and have the respect of much of the community...and I respect that as well. But it conflicts me if you pimp your stuff here without sponsoring. In the words of Blake just this morning: "I'd not ever deal or purchase anything from anyone who cannot honor the simplest of agreements. The agreement to avoid promoting, or advertising or marketing products here absent sponsorship is an important one. It ensures that the good folks who fund the ongoing operation and maintenance of the site receive some value for their support. Cavalierly refusing to honor our terms of use here surely is indicative of a lack of character is general. Avoiding folks of low character has served me well for many years. Excusing bad behavior because "I want what I want" reflects a purely selfish character, not much different than the bad behavior itself. I don't understand selfish people." That kinda sums up my confliction! If you are a sponsor, great! ...and disregard this :-p Thanks, -Andy |
