I have tried the Shinko 005 180/55 on a Buell XB12R Firebolt and get terrible mileage with this tire, seems to be a good tire, road the dragon and did great. I'm now looking at a dual compound tire now, the Bridgestone BT016 and the BT021, I;m tossed up between the two. little help here if someone has any experience with these tires, I'm buying one or the other tomorrow. The reviews that I have seen seem to lean toward the BT016.. Little help! Dankie Ody |

I used the BT021 followed by the Diablo Strada. I'll never go back. I guess that doesn't help you much, but that's my input. |

I have the BT016's. I have only put about 350 miles on them so far. The lean effort is much better than the stock diablo " T". Go easy on the brakes when they are cold, center compound is a bit hard good for mileage tho. They seem to be plenty sticky enough when warmed up. I was looking at 021's also but the 016's were cheaper at the time so I went with them. (Message edited by spdrxb on November 04, 2009) |

That's the one I was looking at also (BT016) I can get the BT021's for 11 dollars more. That's the big concern, not enough difference in price. What I have read so far seems to lean toward the BT016's.. Thanks for the input. Ody |

what are you using now? I have Strada's on both my bikes. I've had great luck with the on everything from winter 20 degree roads to pouring down rain to track days to full lean 2-up in the twistys. There's been a lot of great talks about the Pilot Road 2's, so I'm contemplating switching next time... but I probably won't. |

I've also heard about those Pilots, but I would have to order them, I'm too anxious , I gotta ride man! LOL.. I'll look into the Strada's as well. I don't now if they have those in stock, but I'll check. Thanks for the heads up. Peace out. |

I have the bt16 on my firebolt and the stock corsa III on my 1125. I like the bt16 better. I have 2k miles on them and they still look good and feel like a new basket ball . The center can be a little hard when braking and they warm up slow otherwise great tire for the money. |

Depends on your riding style. If your gonna do lots of track days, get the 016s. If your commute is long and straight (like mine), and you do an occasional track day, get the 021s. |

BT016 is an excellent tire. I just "finished" riding a pair today on Glendora Ridge. A little over 5,000 miles on them, very sticky. I'd have bought another pair if I hadn't gotten such a great deal on some Pirelli's at Cycle Gear. |
