OK, so today I finally tested out ECMspy and my cable on my 03 9R. I can read the EPROM, read DTC codes, reset the error codes, turn the fan on during diagnostics, and when I click on the different tabs the screen updates. But I never get the tach indication on the computer, and never get the TPS value. Also it is not updating for the timing check. Just wondering if anyone can point me in the correct direction to get this all working. It's version 1.12.x |

That's the one that says online/offline and brings up the closed loop window? Seems logical now but because it popped up the close loop window I though it was for something else. I'll give it a try when I get some oil in the bike... Had to put the rear muffler crescent back on to hang the stock muffler so the oil lines had to come off, and out came all the oil. I'll probably just throw some plain old everyday 20-50 in it for the couple weeks I can still ride it, then do a change to synthetic in the spring. Keep getting closer to getting this on the road, but seems like it is going way to slowly. |

I am jealous! But I am too cheap to buy a nice setup like that! |

It's a Fujitsu U810 and they are getting much cheaper now. It's a multi use machine that I am finding I use more often. I will need to get a screen protector on there to try and keep it clean when I'm wrenching. The touchscreen make life easier when you have one hand on a control and need to press a button. I'll probably keep my eye out for another cheap one on ebay just so I can have a dedicated tuner computer. Did I mention that this cycle will eventually be a Microsquirt powered machine? I'll need a computer a lot more when I get that part of the project started. |
