has anyone bought or used these, I found them on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LED-TURN-SIGNAL-ASS EMBLIES-BUELL-APRILIA-BMW-TRIUMPH_W0QQcmdZViewItem QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem3a4ef89f12QQi temZ250433019666QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccesso ries

Im trying to find these signals, and the above matched them

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWt4HLymo00

I had a small child destroy the two signals on the right side of my bike, so its time to replace them all.

Oh, Its an XB12S : )

Ive looked at several styles, and the price is to steep on the cat eyes that I liked, so im leaning to the ones on ebay.

Thanks in advance.

Couple of people on here have them, just make sure you have the correct relay or they wont flash.

is it the relay on American Sport Bike? And why wont they flash, I would assume that they would just flash really fast like I have read on other sites.

So are they plug and go with the relay? Or do I have to modify something? Also, did you get the Dual Circuit, or do you just use them for flashers?

im assuming you like them of course.

Add a 1 watt, 100 ohm resister to the line(s)

This is for the benefit of the LED board, not the flasher relay - I have these and burned up the first set of boards last season.

Very fine lights otherwise. Bright as f*ck!

I have those same led turns, this was the cheapest I could find them when I bought them. http://www.sportingforless.com/servlet/the-280/Alu minum-LED-Turn-Signals/Detail You will need the led relay to run them tho. Also I had to modify the back ones a bit by making larger holes for the bolts to fit in to and extend the wires for the back ones but over all I thought the quality and fit was very nice.

Here is how i did mine, bought them at Acvance Auto Parts, THink they were supposed to be stuck on the side mirrors on a car. Just made a little plate to mount them under the lens.

Boca, I'm glad you posted that...I saw that youtube video a month ago and have been looking for those signals ever since. I wanted those in combination with the taillight I have from xblights.com (which is an incredible taillight!) that has the signals integrated also...lots of visibility during braking and turning!

Midknyte, do I have to them for each line? or do put it at the front of the circuit? I am pretty much stupid in this area, but I can read a manual and do anything it says.

also, is there a way to add the auto shutoff to the blinkers.. I would love to have that option : )

I have the running light / turn signal variety.

So I needed to add a resistor to each of the live wires to protect each half of the boards.

They will burn up if you do not do this. Not so much if only as a turn signal since it is not always powered, but I'd recommend it anyway. The boards get extremely hot w/o it. The resistors on the boards turn toasty brown, then fail...

In the first pic you can see how the resistors on the running light half of the board burned up...

The rest show how I crimped the resistors into new posts, which you need to change anyway because the ones on the lights are not thick enough.

Get out a meter and triple check your polarity when you hook them up. Black to ground.
You'll pop them in grand fashion if you hook them up wrong.

i wouldn't recommend those turn signals, Al over at American Sport Bike stopped selling them and i needed a set after wrecking my bike. He has better ones now that are pretty much the same thing. Some of the things he didn't like about the ones on this post are waterproofness of them and other things. In my opinion, i didnt really like them. if you get in the rain, they rust pretty easy, and they let water in pretty easy

Midknyte, what did you use when you mated the resistor with the line? I cant quite make it out in the picture..

and did you only put them on the running lights line?

Well, I just went with these LED turn signals from Motosport.com and a Tridon EP-35 LED signal flasher relay from NAPA Auto Parts and I have no issues...

Motosport.com universal smoked LED cat eye turn signals

A pair runs only $16.99. The relay from NAPA was less than $13 with tax. I bought both the EP-35 and EP-36. The EP-35 is what is in my bike now.

Midknyte, what did you use when you mated the resistor with the line? I cant quite make it out in the picture..

I bent the leads in half on the on side for crimping into new connectors - 16-14 AWG, 0.156 Bullet Terminals from Ace Hardware.

On the other side of the resistors I soldered the leads and shrink tubed over them.

I ordered a set that are signal/brake...no running lights. Should be fine as is.

Miami, you have to change out the connectors, the ones they come with are too small. I have taken the advice to add a resistor to each line, just finishing up tonight.

Boca, that's good to know...I still have a handfull of connectors from installing my Oberon signals up front fortunately.

Which style signals did you get? Seems like the resistors are only necessary on the set that act as running lights, otherwise they are not on long enough to burn out.

I'm putting them on the running lights style now, I picked up one set from ebay, and then other set half price from another site. They are the same exact LED, save for they are flasher only.

I used Butt Connectors to marry the resistor to the line, midknyte soldered his, but I could not find my tool so I went the easy way. Hopefully it will not bite me in the ass later.

I saw the site that had them for half the price, but they didn't have to brake/flasher combo I was looking for.

Did you put them on the ground wires as well??

nope. just the positive lines.

on the ground too would be redundant.

on the ground only would be asking it to soak up double the load when both sides of the board are active.

Seems like the resistors are only necessary on the set that act as running lights, otherwise they are not on long enough to burn out.

I had these apart to expiriment with adding the resistor, and found that the boards heat up VERY much and VERY quickly.

I would recommend adding the additional resistor no matter what. They are still bright as f*ck with the 1 watt / 100 ohm resistor added to the line(s).

Turns out my 07 xb12s is set up without running lights. So what to do now??? I have the set on the back working, but the front set has the extra wire, will it work with one not plugged in?

Our bikes do not have running light lines. Gotta add em.

In back, I tapped off the brake light.

In front I added a line to the subharness. I got pics at home. Will try to remember to post.

You can power both halves of the LED board with the one turn signal line we have if you want to - you'd have to wire it to both.

Ok, got that, I'm having issues with it tho. I'm getting a solid buzzing from the new relay, and the light is just on. Any idea what I did wrong?

I just got mine in today...but not sure which wires go to the turn signals and which go to the brake. Not to mention I need to figure out how to splice the wire into the brake line...

edit - found these for the tap...look like they should work...now if I can only find the brake line...
