Hi there, I am considering to switch from my STT stock seat to a custom made by baldwin. It will look pretty much like the corbins gunfigther solo seat for the SS but with different materials and finishing touches, so it will be quite scalloped and the seat height will be lowered by 1 or 2 inches. I am wondering ... will it be a good idea or the knees will be suffering way too much? Anyone using the scg or ss+comfort seat (which is 1" lower than stock)? I am 170cm tall (that is 5 and 7"). Thanks Gianluca |

you'll get used to it pretty quick. i went from the old style cityx seat to a low seat, and put firebolt pegs (with no drop) and its still good...and, i'm only an inch taller than you. |

My 07 STT came with black plastic, passenger pegs and a 2-up seat with strap. This seat has a scalloped texture and is about an inch lower than the solo seat. After purchasing the bike I learned that I was entitled to the white plastic and original solo seat. Long story short, IMHO the solo seat is far superior to the 2-up seat. My 5’ 8” frame, 60 year old knees, back and butt do much better on it. My longest one day ride on it was 470 miles. |

Every ass is different, so you ultimately would have to try the seat and see. Take a look at the SS touring seat, it was my pick out of the SS/STT seats. |
