So there is this nice, though wrecked, XBR on ebay, and I notice something is welded to the frame. Is this an aftermarket frame protector mount? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buell-Firebolt-FIRE BOLT-XB9R-BUELL-FIREBOLT-XB9R-2003-03-MOTOCYCLE-BI KE-10695_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em1 4QQhashZitem58836cae72QQitemZ380162059890QQptZUSQ5 fmotorcycles |

my $0.02 do not put a "protector" on that. It will just rip off part of the frame/tank. use the pucks. |

What you wouldn't pay that much for it? It has only gone around on ebay about 4 times now, so I guess no one else will either. |

I would pay $4k for that, salvage title and all, but not in that condition. Fix it then I will think about it. Isn't that the 03 belt setup on there too? |

Is every piece of cf busted? $4k if it was completely fixed, maybe. When I called it nice, I meant it most likely was, before whateverthehell happened to it. |

WOW ODO only reads 66 Mi! And I'm guessing it had rear sliders cause it seems as though the only external parts left untouched was the rear swingarm. Kinda cool I guess, but lousy orange paint job, and whats up with the non carbon oil cooler shroud and cutting a hole in a perfectly good scoop to weld on a mount |

I would bet it was a track bike, which would explain the low odometer and the slider mounts welded to the frame. That being the case I would also "wave off" of this one. Race bikes get used HARD and put away wet. They also get crashed a fair bit. I would also bet there is frame damage under the frame covers too. But that's just me. |
