I went and looked at an 2003 XB9R last night that is for sale in my area. The frame had a manufacture date of January 2002! When did XB models hit the showroom floors? Is this possibly one of the first XB models to come out of the factory? |

Some were built back in 2001. If I recall correctly, 9/11 delayed the launch of the XB9R. |

If I recall correctly, 9/11 delayed the launch of the XB9R. Your recalling has been recalled... The XB9R was 'launched' or more accurately introduced to dealers on Friday July 13th, 2001, the day after the VRSCA V-Rod was introduced to dealers. As far as I know it's the only Buell to be introduced on a Friday the 13th. Which is part of the reason why I put a Firebolt front fairing on my XB12XT. 1313 |
