Just noticed that when I park the bike after riding, as the fan is running it starts to wind down as if it was being run on a low battery. It will get strong and then die down again to a very weak rotation. Any thoughts? | ||

Its on its way out. As long as its still working I wouldn't worry to much about it. Switch it out over the winter.  | ||

That's exactly what happened to my fan. Bike's at the dealer getting a new one installed right now. Strange thing is that it still runs kinda OK if you jump the wires, but it won't work when the computer tells it to. | ||

It is not running kinda ok. The computer can vary the voltage to increase or decrease the speed of the fan. When you jump the wires, its getting full voltage and has enough power to overcome the failing parts of the motor. At the lower speed the failing is more prevalent because of the lower output. | ||

I just put a new fan on, it started going out early spring this year. Sounded like a bearing going bad and weak speed, then it popped a fuse. I replaced the fuse and sprayed hilco lube on it and it finally died the first week of September. I also bought a right side scoop to try and help the fan run less and last longer... | ||
