Check out the pic, WHAT SHOULD BE COMING OFF THIS VENT ? Should it be plugged ? A simple vent hose ? I looked all around and just couldn't find any little hose hangin' around looking lonely !

I've been having problems starting my bike after turning it off. Won't start easy or run smooth between 15 - 60 minutes from shutting it off after a long ride. I was thinking vapor lock but I'm wondering if this is the culprit. Any help APPRECIATED !

I can stop for gas or a quick drink, but after 10-15 minutes that's it. Did it today and it was only 75 degrees out.}

There should be a rubber cap there. Mine was dry rotted and leaking.

Yep. One end of the hose goes on that fitting and the other is attached to air tight diaper you wear while riding. The diaper is designed to hold in emissions you create while riding. The hot smelly gas is sucked out of the diaper and into the throttle body where it is then burned up in your buell.

Looks like California models have a fitting, no idea about other models.

Ooooh, I'll have to get me one of those air diapers !

Thanks guys, I knew I should have plugged it while I was in there. Rode in 55 degrees this morning...easy start after 20 minutes. Has anyone ever wrapped their feul line with heat shield where it goes over the rear cylinder. I'm looking to do all I can to eliminate this vapor lock issue...no matter how small the inconvenience is to me.
