It's finally alive!! After too much time I have completed the new turbo design for my XB12Scg. It runs great and I am extremely happy with the tuning success using the MAP sensor for fuel enrichment under boost. The wastegate is at a base setting of 5psi and I have an external boost controller on order to crank it up to whatever psi level I need to see 140hp I'm thinking around 9psi will do it. Here is a pic of a dyno chart from today's tuning session: And here is a youtube video of the last dyno run I did today: All I can say is YAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! nice. i'm in for detailed pics. i'm very interested in doing this with my xb9... are you running an intercooler at all? what are you using for tuning? bigger injectors? is the engine built, or is it stock internals? what type of afr's are you aiming for? (it looks slightly lean to me under boost) what turbo are you using? i'm curious to know what the stock internals are good for. Does your system use an intercooler?

has anyone incorporated the turbo into the muffler and just let it hang under the bike? seems like the logical place to put it.

Eric you're some sort of evil genius. Wow, this setup is considerably different from the previous one. And the #'s, you even surpassed your goal. I can't believe how cool your bike is.

where is the oil feed and return? i can't see them really in the pics. also, what are you using for management and injectors? it looks good, but i'd consider adding some brace or support to the wastegate branch. it'd be a shame to have it break off and run it over! Simply beautiful. Slash cutting the exhaust/waste gate pipes, or something similar would clean it up just right. Now if only my 08 had that hole through the frame.....
