not sure if the two are related, but the headlights blowing are the major problem. I have a 2007 XB12S Lightning. I have read through this forum and checked the wires for corrosion and such, all seem ok. I have checked the fuses and made sure that all the other relays and such are seated well. Other than that, I have no clue whats next before I take it in for service. I am due for my 10K checkup soon, so I can take it in early but I like to try and fix things myself sometimes. I also found out today that the cops can simply pull you over for not having headlights on. I thought my high beam was working, and was on the way back from the Autozone with a new bulb for the low. A cop had a lady pulled over just beyond the stoplight and as I was pulling towards him he flagged me over. Lucky for me I had a bulb in my backpack to show him .. On a side note, anyone know of an aftermarket solution for the sucky rubber signal bars on my bike? A 5 hear old child was able to break my right side pair by simply twisting them!!! Thanks for your input in Advance.. Boca |

Have your charging system checked...sounds like the voltage regulator is not working properly...the resulting high voltage will blow bulbs. Do it soon...if that is the problem, it could kill the ignition or fuel electronics. |

Side note on signal bars: when my bike did its idle off the side stand thing, I was able to put it back together and ride home. Guy on GX had his broken signal dangling away from his go down. |
