Hello. I'm in the process of doing this conversion. I've searched and found some good info in the Knowledge Vault, but I'm still looking for better pics of where to relocate things like the fuse box, ECM, and tilt sensor. For those that have done this conversion, do you have any good pics of where you put these under the seat and how fixed them in place? I've been taking step-by-step pictures along the way, so if someone can help me with this last bit, I can post a really good write up when I'm done. |

My bike is at the Buell Barn. If no one has posted by Sunday, I'll post up some pics. This is all I have right now:

Thanks, look forward to the pics. For the folks who have done this mod, did you strip off the cloth tape holding the wiring harness together? I'm having a lot of trouble trying to position the boxes as some of the ones in pictures of others' installs and I'm wondering if removing the cloth tape would make that much of a difference. Also, where did you connect all the ground wires? On the S models, there were two screws, one on each side of the inside subframe where all eyelets for the grounds were bolted. On this R subframe, I see two posts, although in awkward positions and noticeably skinnier than the bolts used on the S subframe. Did y'all use these? If not, what did you do for the grounds? |
