Do you have any friends that like to pull pranks on you?

If those quicky adjusters come off easily, I'd keep them (or at least one) in my jacket pocket.

When I had my XB9R I kept a small wrench in the tool kit that just fit those adjusters. Didn't need to change the setting very often unless going buddy up.

No one messed with it same amount of Preload.. "Black Dots"

Oxidation caused the rebound adjuster assembly "green circle" which lies in the center of the preload adjuster to seize...

It was like they where welded together..

I sprayed it down with lithium grease and worked the preload all the way up and down a few times..

Buffed and wiped all the gunk off now..

My suspension hasn't felt right for a while thought it was my weight.

Now I'm thinking both sides might have been seized and some how the right one popped up..

Looking at the manual I'm wondering does does the rebound adjuster being artificially pushed down do..

Hopefully nothing

Never having had one apart. I looked in the manual and it looks like the rebound adjuster(blue peice) has unscrewed from the damper rod(internal rod), or your damper rod may have broken or come apart.

Either way looks like it should be disassembled and inspected pronto.

Adding a little more, if you can push it down then something bad internal has happened and this would def. wreck your bikes handling.

You have to adjust the amount of damping turns when you assemble the forks. You can pull them apart, readjust the damper screws and reassemble. The procedure is in the manual.
