I know its been done... I havent been able to find a descent write-up on here. If anyone knows where one is please inform me. If not, maybe there is someone out there that can give me some insight on the install. |

Jstfkndi, Are you going to sell the magnesium fairing bracket? If so how much? I need to replace mine. The PO broke it and repaired it with epoxy. Works but looks like crap. |

I have to see what all is involved with the switch first. Don't know what I will be needing just to do a handle bar switch, but if it is just easier to do a whole XBS front, then I may be parting with some items. |

I have to see what all is involved with the switch first. With the S to R switch it's real simple. With the R to S switch, you'll need to replace the wiring harness among other things. |

Thanks Glitch! I actually thought it would be the other way around, since it looks like more to mount on the "R" models. Are there any step by steps people have posted by chance? |

On the R, the electrical components like the fuse blocks and ECM are in the front fairing, while on the S they are under the seat. Putting the R fairing on the S is easy because you don't have to mess with relocating any of that. |

There are quite a few threads documenting the swap. Just do a search for R to S swap and similar. |
