Shit happens These words are last today. Today I had 3 problems with my bike! Two of them because of my naivety and stupidity. 1. When I have bought bike It was about one month ago... I wrote here about it. I have not checked oil level in the engine. Today when I went on highway, the red bulb has lighted up! I have stopped the engine at once and started going to roadside. (Thanks drivers for not driving into me) I have checked up at once oil level. Oh, damn!... Dipstick was dry!!!!!!!!! I had checked it twice.. I have a little become puzzled... I was afraid to start the engine! I stood and did nothing about 10 minutes. I was lucky. Sergei passed me and stopped! We met with him later. He was carrying two bikes on tomorrow competition in his van. He had the oil (Motul 300V 10-40W). We added about 1 litre!!! I was madness to ride without such a quantity of oil! I was a fool because of not checking the level immediately after purchase... We said goodbye each other but I Promised to attend the competition and support his team. 2. Second problem.... When I went to the garage of one of my friend to replace the oil with new one I had driven into big hummock I touched the ground my muffler. Now there are two a little scratches and one little hole. But It was not the end of what happens with my bike today. 3. When I came back home at evening and left the bike near the home. When I came back and started engine the belt broke! At the first I upset but then I started to laugh wildly. Here this one
Now I am looking for the belt with part number "G0500.1AAA" in the Web, drinking beer and think about my fate. (Message edited by vasiliy_ru on August 01, 2009) |

Unfortunately I have no pics of my bike yet! I wanted to take pics with cool camera of one of my friend. He is professional photographer. We arranged with him about meeting in several days and taking pics of me and my new bike. Of course I can take pick on my mobile phone but I hate quality of these pics. )) |

The belt probably got damaged when you hit the "hummock", whatever a hummock is??? Drink beer, relax and be thankful you didn't get hurt or stranded somewhere far from home! *and I am thankful you are not one of those guys who runs into a little trouble and then is like "i hate Buell and am selling my bike!!!" |

Easy fix . . someone just needs to buy and send him a belt. I've send a number of BLAST parts to Moscow . . . shouldn't be a problem. I always just wrap them as a birthday gift. |

I do not want to strain you by solving of my problem... It would be cool if you tell to me an international web shop (checked shop), and I will order a belt by myself. |

Sorry to see you have the kind of day I had last week! But that is over! The good thing is your oil is in a tank. That does not mean the 'engine' was out of oil. When your light came on it was probably because it was low enough to suck a little air which gave a low pressure reading. It sounds like you stopped right away so the engine parts would not have run dry of oil. I did the same thing on my first Buell, an '05 City-X. I changed brands and weight of oil and it went away in about 600 miles, I was used to having it go 3000 miles and not need any. My light came on as I was nearing my driveway. So I coasted in an filled it up. All was good. Just check it more often. |

Oh, and the exhaust is an even easier fix. Climb a few curbs, or land a few *really* hard wheelies, and that scratch will vanish completely (into a big dent ). Then just spray it back black with some BBQ paint, and you are good to go. I wish my dirt bike had as good a skid plate as my street bike has... |

A hummock is a hammock with a Hummer in it. Not good to run over. |
