Hi all, I'm new to Buell and I just bought a 2009 9SX. Besides kicking off way too much heat, my knees are killing me. Is the Buell Ergonomics department headed by elves???

Has anyone installed rearsets? If so, can you provide pictures? How much adjustment inch wise do the rearsets have?
How easy were they to install?

Much Thanks,
Steeler

Your not going to get much more than the drop pegs are already giving you.

Muscle tightness will cause the knee pain.. Especially since the buell is a tighter fitting bike..

Stretching or Yoga helps a lot....

Good luck..

If you got an '09, you probably also got the lower seat. Trade up to a Skyline -- it helps a lot -- you get another inch.

Yeah, i have the high seat too. I'll try it.

I have the drop pegs??? God, where were they before? I only have a 31" inseam and I feel like my knees are up around my ears.

Standard pegs on the XB9SX have 1" drop. Some people put higher pegs from XB12R on (no 1" drop).

Heat will get better as the bike breaks in.

Did you not sit on the bike before buying it?

Anyway, you can buy the Ulysses peg mounts and pegs, that will drop you a few more inches. It bolts right up, but you will need to get the longer shift linkage and possibly a slightly longer rear brake line.

I have a 34" inseam, and love my LSL "R" pegs!

Froggy, I actually test rode the thing but you can't tell on a 5 mile test ride how your knees are going to handle the peg height OR, you won't find out how hot the damn bike gets.
