Iam chasing a stumble on my bike and Id like to rule out the O2 sensor. The reason is I think I might have bent the top of it where the wire connects to the end of the sensor. Mine is slightly bent over not straight.

Ive heard guys disabling the O2 to troubleshoot and see how it runs without it. Is that all there is to it?

Ive also read the temp sensor can make an engine run rough. Where is the temp sensor exactly?

Yes you can use ECMspy and disable the sensor. If the sensor is acting up, it will make your bike think that its richer/leaner than it is, and as result will over compensate. If the Engine temp sensor (ETS) is acting up, it can make your bike think its running hot, and will enter skip spark under normal riding conditions.

If the sensor is bad it should throw a code, and a light?

Not always. If something is running way out of spec, like if the ETS thinks its 9000 degrees, it will throw a code.

Do you happen to know the spec range the ECM allows before it throws a code?

Run the bike at idle and see what the ego corr number is when in CL idle.

If it is outside of 90-115 I'd give it a closer look.

Also, your afv could be outta whack if the o2 sensor isn't working correctly.

This isn't the end all be all test, but it's something to look at.

AFV is staying 100-105. EGO was 108 I think.

Dont think the temp sensor is bad. Wires looked good today and I watched the temp rise smoothly on ecm spy. When my bike went into closed loop ego voltage was going from .3-.8 volts up and down. Dont know if thats normal.

I checked alot of wires and connections today. Iam convinced I have a slight intake leak although the propane leak test didnt show that. Throttle position is smooth when I watch it on ecm spy.

I can say that a leaner tune seems to make the bike buck and stumble a little more where a richer tune seems to make it run smoother but with less seat of the pants feel.

Wheres the best place to get an intake gasket? Seems like I heard there was a much better gasket out there now than the one from the factory.

genuine games intake seals.

at idle the front wants more fuel than the rear. on all the bikes i put daul sensors on.

i set idel to open loop and set the afr to 14.2 at idle and just off idle.

much smoother and better starting when hot.

this makes then purrrrr

Well crap! Its not the 02 sensor. At least I can check that off and it reaffirms my thought on the intake seal.

Boy, how fun it was getting that fan out so I could get a wrench on that 02 sensor. I ended up cutting the two top ears off so I could slide it out. Now its easy to remove if I have to. A wire tie and two bolts should be good enough to keep it secure.

The highlight was going to the dealership and sitting on an 09 1125CR. It does look better in person but those bars have to go. I think the seat felt plenty comfortable. It still needs a lighting tail section though IMO.

I put the genuine james intake seals in and that fixed it. When I took the old ones out the front one was wet with fuel on the bottom.

A tip for those that are replacing your intake seals for the first time: If your having trouble getting the intake flange screws to start because of alignment, bolt the top of the intake finger tight to the top support bracket. This gets the intake back close to alignment. Could have saved me some time.
