>>>i called my local dealer and they where not aware of it Perhaps true . . . but I am not aware of the camber settings for my Ford truck either. But . . . like your dealer . . . I know I have access to LL the information with nothing but a couple clicks. Your dealer went to the dealer show. All the information was conveyed there and all the information for all Buell fuel maps and upgrades is current on your dealer computer systems. If the dealer tells you that and hits you with that look that reminds you of a 6 week old Lab pup looking at an oscillating fan for the first time . . . ask them to pick up the phone and call their S.P.O.C. rep while you wait. It's really all very simple and the part is elegantly designed and engineered. As a fellow, absent my Aerostich on the last two rides, with a cooked leg . . . I am excited that Buell, rather than fiddle with colors and mirror shapes, attacked some of the substantive issues based on rider feedback. Really pretty cool . . . . . er, so to speak. If you dealer plays the Sgt. Schultz "I know nothing" game with you, send me their name and phone number and I'd be pleased to let their S.P.O.C. rep know they need "re-training". Court |

Nothing secret here . . . and I suspect several of you may be receiving your kits tomorrow from the group that shipped Thursday.

Does anyone know if this will fit older XB's? I have looked on Buell's website and it is only listed on the Uly section. I'm assuming it won't but I was curious if someone had heard that it would or would not. Maybe time to mod some stuff.... |

Thanks Mike. You might want to post up in the classifieds on the parts wanted thread for a LSS. A lot of folks swap out their stuff for carbon and just have it sitting there. I see them on ebay all the time too. |

Alright so I am confused. This thread seems to be pointing to a rider comfort kit for the firebolt, however on the Buell website there is only a kit for the Ulysses........ |

There is a new right side scoop for the Firebolt and Lightning, and maybe new ECM programming to change how the fan is controlled. Kit for Uly only. |

WOW, at that price, the aftermarket RSS will be a thing of the past. ~SM |

There is no RECALL, no PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM . . . it's a new accessory item that is on the 2010's and was specifically, in response to owner testing and input, designed to be backward compatible. The cost of the kit is like $119.00 or somewhere in that range. . . . slightly higher in the East, West, Cananda, the Balkans and declared war zones. No other offers may be used with this and winners will be notified by mail. Employees of Buell, Badweb and CPB are not eligible to purchase this upgrade. |

So I'm still confused. What is the actual part # I'm going to need to order for this kit to work on my '09 firebolt? I read and reread this thread and I didn't see it. |

At this time its not known, its not a single piece. I am waiting till I get my hands on the parts book for XB models to confirm. I listed on the other page what I believe is the part number for the scoop. |

So we have the pn for just the scoop. Got ya. I'll keep an eye out for the update for the complete # for the kit. Any idea when the parts books for the new model years get in? |

I don't think there is a kit for the 'bolts. From what I have gathered so far on here, you get 3 pieces and bolt them on. I don't know when the books come out, I don't see them listed online yet. |

I have the kit coming for my 2007 XB12STT. I'll post if all the parts fit or not. The XB12Ss should be the same. I'm only worried about the fan shroud as I'm fairly sure the seat pan is different on the Uly than on my bike BUT how much the difference it will make...Who knows? Hope the kit shows up in a week or two. I just ordered it Friday. |

Thanks for all the discussion guys. The dealer told me today that nothing would be available until the 2010's are released around October. Oh well! |

Sure your dealer knows all.... Then why are we able to order parts for the 2010 models from other dealers?Just do what the rest of us have been doing and bring them a part number. Orrrrrrr use a sponser dealership from this forum. It will make your life easier. Hell, my own dealership(gails Harley in kansas city, mo) calls me with parts questions and I come here with them. |

How much is that kit you guys are buying? Anyone find just a RSS cheaper than the $229 on American Sport Bike? Besides a spray-painted cardboard cutout? (Message edited by redwhitebuell on August 04, 2009) |

I think were waiting for our resident experts to figure that out. They only have the PN for the scoop and not the whole kit yet. I think..... |

So far, we only know of a "kit" to fit the Uly, shown here on Buell's website: http://www.buell.com/en_us/gear/accessories/produc t.asp?Menu_ID=2&ProductLineID=6&CategoryID=3&Produ ctID=10029 The whole kit (including inner and outer RSS, heat shield for rear header pipe, and duct for under the seat) costs only $120. See parts list posted by Court earlier in this thread. An updated flash is available for the ECM that changes the way it controls the fan. The other 2010 XB's also have a new right side scoop; I don't think anybody here yet knows if they have an equivalent piece to the under seat duct so there may not be a "kit" for the other XB's. |

I wouldn't mind getting a larger RSS for my Firebolt. The fan runs constantly as it is now. Even at 80-85mph down the interstate in 80 degree weather, still kicks on and never turns off until I turn the bike off Court, I have a 2004 XB12R, think you can find out if the 2010 RSS that comes stock on the firebolts will fit my bike? |

>>>The dealer told me today that nothing would be available until the 2010's are released around October. There are 2010's sitting in MOST dealers show rooms. I do not know the answers to these questions yet but expect to be getting a good deal of information the next week. I'll share whatever I can as I get it. |
