I have to say this little bike rocks on the track. The Bridgestone BT016 tires also work very well with great traction. http://stevenszabo.smugmug.com/gallery/9030728_3js pW#600836369_tw7pv-A-LB http://stevenszabo.smugmug.com/gallery/9030728_3js pW#600886065_8hUTv-A-LB http://stevenszabo.smugmug.com/gallery/9030728_3js pW#600890908_MKs9h-XL-LB http://stevenszabo.smugmug.com/gallery/9030728_3js pW#600894293_q4xkQ-A-LB http://stevenszabo.smugmug.com/gallery/9030728_3js pW#601019103_i6ht5-A-LB http://stevenszabo.smugmug.com/gallery/9030728_3js pW#600958674_buUoc-A-LB http://stevenszabo.smugmug.com/gallery/9030728_3js pW#601069893_oQzPQ-A-LB |

How's the wear with those tires? Going to try them next, after the Pilot Road 2's. Have not had the PR2's slip up on clean pavement (had them step out a few times on dirt, gravel and tar snakes) but I still think I could use a bit more confidence and I hear these give you that without flat spotting like a single compound sport tire. |

Center of rear tire profile in last picture looks worn/flattened. Is this how profile looks at rest? |

I think it has to do with shadows in the pic. The tire still has a very rounded profile while at rest. I will post a few pics when I can. I am leaving for a 3 day road trip in about an hour so will probably be later in the week. |

your toes stick out. I have that bad habit as well... That's why toe sliders were invented. Trying to fix that, also need to get off more according to the instructor. If you get that down first, the toes will be less of an issue. If you "tip-toe" more on the foot peg, your toes won't be "sticking out" Good form, maybe not the best (according to your instructor) but you look relaxed and in control. Good form |

You need frame pucks for that track bike they dont cost that much for a set |

Believe it or not, the R doesn't need the pucks as bad as the S does. With the R, the handle bars hit the ground first, and keep the frame from hitting. DAMHIK |

Why Glitch, how would you know a scary piece of information like that.... |

When the handle bars on the "R" hit the ground, it is not unusual for them to bend back and make a nice handle bar size impression in the frame where the puck would go. There are quite a few R's at the race's with that "mod" |

I guess it has a lot to do with how hard the bike hits the road. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against any type of protection. Why Glitch, how would you know a scary piece of information like that.... Well...there was this demo ride... I only had to buy one bar... |

I have BT016 and they are no good for daily commuting due to the wear rates. Looks like they make an excellent track tire though. I have the wrong tires for MY purpose. I do more commuting than anything. I'll get a track day in someday. Cool pics dude! |

Really? I have pilot road 2's now, I do all my riding in the twisties but occasionally do a long trip with my dad (Harley rider). We usually stick to backroads but occasionally take a long road, like say Highway 5 (from LA to SJ), which made my OEM rear tire go from PERFECT to flat spotted in a matter of 3-4 hours, and yes it had plenty of air in it. I was really hoping the BT016's would be a good tire for me that would be mostly for twisties but still be round if I did a longer straight ride here and there... |

My BT016s flat spotted just as fast as your stock tires. They are pretty soft. Great grip in the twisties. Most of my commute is straight roads. It's the wrong tire for the type of riding I do 70% of the time. Hope this helps ya. I will be guinea pigging the Metzler Z6 Interact for everyone soon. After doing some research, it seems like it may be the tire for me. I'll let ya know. |
