some of their stuff is nice... http://www.ducati.com/en/bikes/my2009/ModelPage.jh tml?family=Streetfighter&model=SFSTREETFIGHTER-09 but that is horrible!!! too busy, too many angles, too much going on.i bet Erik looks and just chuckles. seriously....the 848 and 1198 are gorgeous. after all ugly is only skin deep....i'd happily take an 1125cr ANY DAY . i do like Duc's 4 vavle per cylinder tho.easy way to add HP ! |

I wouldnt go as far as horrible. Its a crazy looking bike for sure and definitely one you either love or hate. Its pretty impressive powerwise. I mean it has over 50hp on a xb12 and weighs less. I totally agree on the superbikes though! I would take one of them over and 1125 but thats about it. |

Very impressive. I dont care for the tailpipes though. 150 hp and 375 pounds dry weight for about $15000. |

Oddly enough- I sold my CR (and another bike) to buy this bike. And in a weird twist - I originally sold my XB to buy the CR, and within 2 months a found and bought another XB on Craigs list. I had no idea how GREAT a bike the XB is. Well balanced, chassis and motor. The SF did not "sell me" until I saw one in person. Go check one out- but leave your wallet at home! |

I strongly suggest you guys to see the bike in person before making any comment (positive or negative). I saw it on the net for the first time and I wasn't impressed, it seemed to be a naked 1098. but then I went to see it in person when they released it at the Ducati dealer here in Miami and I have to say I was impressed. I own a 1098 S and the SF is a completely different bike! different radiators, different frame, different tank, different tail section (it's shorter and narrower), different wheels and different forks angle (to give this smaller bike more stability). even the commands at the handlebar are brand new. this bike is lightweight and it has monster power and torque, the "S" version is complete with Ohlins suspensions and traction control. I can say that right now, it's the best naked bike money can buy. even better than the Brutale 1078. until the new Aprilia Tuono with the 4V engine will debut at the end of this year... then, I think the Aprilia will be the queen of this category! |

OH- and by the way> this forum has it head and shoulders over other forums! I never really appreciated the nature of the fold (Buell guys and gals) here. Good guys and a higher level of respect for the most part- with substantial information exchange. GOOD DEAL! |

I do agree it looks a bit busy and odd but with a little modding I think it would look amazing.. Move the exhaust under the bike or under the seat, get a different headlight setup (XB )... Probably have to figure something out with the seat area as well. Never been a fan of the huge sticking in the sky style. |

When I saw it in person at the DC IMS my jaw just dropped to the floor. If I was looking at more expensive, higher maintenance cost bikes it would be near the top of my list with the benelli TNT, the KTM superduke and probably the next gen Tuono. The new RSV4 is a great looking bike too but not in the same category |

Its pure sex. If it had a Buell badge on it badwebbers would wet themselves. Still the 1125R and CR are pretty close in weight and performance at first glance and can be had much cheaper than the streetfighter. |

If it had a Buell badge on it badwebbers would wet themselves. Maybe some, but not all. I'm not alone in liking air cooled engines more. I've been riding for well over 30 years, and have owned 2 liquid cooled bikes always going back to air cooled engines. I'm a big fan of simplicity. |

Careful Jaime...now that I ride the Mighty Cube...my Borg deigned power will go warp 15! Far faster than a mere Hyper Bike. |
