Wanted to make sure of the correct part number for a race ECM for my 03 XB9S before I buy it. Too many people (on other sites) selling stuff they have no clue about. Thanks! |

with what software, you are going to adjust the race ecm.. the fuel and ignition maps in the race ecm are the same as in your stock ecm, thanks to EPA.. there is no official sw available to tune a race ecm i know it is inside the buell company but nobody released it.. if you are going to use another product to adjust the race ecm, you don't need to buy one, because it will also change your stock ecm... |

steve, buell is not alowed to put a product on the market that has more emissions then the stock calibration, sure it can have different fuel and spark values but it still running very lean. it is a starting map to tune yourbike on the dyno.. |

<sigh> sure it can have different fuel and spark values but it still running very lean. it is a starting map to tune yourbike on the dyno.. Then why did you say they were the same Easy... Hence the "for race use only". The "Race" ECMs have never been EPA certified. And are still for sale. with a race license(CCS, ASRA, etc...), you can also get the Buell tuning software, and their 'real' race ECM. But with ECMspy, that's pretty much a moot point. |

steve, there is more the one version, it's the same with the stock fuel map, different versions and flashes.. the ecm's where as far as i understood always EPA certified, with the current version for the 1125, and the XB models it's for sure it's the same. |

there is more the one version That's where you are correct. There are 3 different non-adjustable 'race' ECMs. '03-'04 XB9(part #32814-02Y) '05-'07 XB9(part #82007-05Y) '04-'07 XB12(part #32620-03Y) And there are two different adjustable race ECMs as well IIRC. Which are only available to race license holders. the ecm's where as far as i understood always EPA certified Then you are understanding wrong. The 'race' ECMs for both the XB9s & XB12s are *NOT* EPA certified. Hence the legal mumbo jumbo on this page: http://www.buell.com/en_us/gear/accessories/produc t.asp?Menu_ID=2&ProductLineID=3&CategoryID=1&Produ ctID=2213 |
