Hey all. I got the hidden brake rotor bracket and rotor from American Sport Bike. My dad was putting it on my bike, and he says that the stock brake line is too short. I contacted American Sport Bike, and Al said that they don't stock the line for the 06+ XB's. Does anybody know if any of the sponsors carries this brake line? I really would like to have my bike done by the time I come home.
Thanks

I got over-length stainless lines made quickly by Galfer for my GSXR. Just tell them how much over stock and they'll get it cranked out quickly.

Ghost

For what it may be worth..

You bought a caliper bracket to hide the caliper...not the rotor. That would be most difficult to do.

Hey mike, I see that now. It was late at night when I wrote that. You are certainly correct. It is definitely for hiding the caliper. The heat over here is messing with my brain. Thanks spatten1. I will look into that.

Go to the Dark Horse Moto thread under Parts and Services there is info on which Brembo caliper to use and a suggestion on using stock Buell brake lines!

These guys will do custom lines as well if you can't make the stock one work.

on my '03 xb it took a little twisting and reorienting, but the stock brake line worked just fine.

+1 Sportfit

Heated the fitting at the caliper end of the brake line and straightened it out carefully to line up correctly with new caliper. Fastened the wireform that was used on the top of the swingarm for the brakeline to backside of one of the bolts that hold the front left heel guard in place. Ran the line through the wireform to the caliper with the rubber sleeve from the wireform around the line where it contacts the underside of the swingarm. Works like a charm. Pics if I can get to my camera later.

I swapped mine around on my 07 to get it to work, just re-routed it a little

Thanks all. My dad is building my bike up for me since I am "indisposed" right now. I appreciate the suggestions. With any luck, I will be able to trade this humvee back in on my lightning soon.
