LOL! Whats sucks the most is that I stay in the right lane as much as I can stand so others won't see the damage. THATS THE FREAKIN SLOW LANE!! |

Hey Jeff! What's happening? R you still in VA Beach? I've got the same "character mark" on my right side of the frame. But you know what? If you order a puck, it will completely cover that crater! (It's almost like they knew exactly where the frame would dent!) No one will ever know. Heck I think Jimmy found some under the pucks on Becky's bike. Good hearing your still on your Buell! |

Hey Mel, still hanging in Va Beach. I've held a puck over it and this thing is so big that the puck doesn't completely cover it and the majority of the puck only has about 1/8th of an inch of contact around the outside edge. |

Clyde have you tried taking it to a good body shop? Maybe they can pull it out using those pins they tak weld on to pull out the dent. Just a thought. |

That's gotta cut down on your fuel capacity!!! I think I would just ride that girl, crater and all. |

I've seen different styles of frame pucks. I'm interested in the ones on teh_nub's bike. What kind are those? I like them better because they're smaller and seem to flow with the looks of the bike better...IMO. Thanks. |

Roy, some guys I've talked to with body shop backgrounds worry about the integrity and strength of the frame after pulling the dent out. They all say it's best to just leave it alone and cover it up. |

Pulling the dents would leave the creases weakend. they would have potential to crack and leak. I used devcon aluminum putty to fill my wifes frame on her bike and then just worked the putty back to the natural shape of the tank. It looks good I think and then any small imperfections can be covered up with the frame pucks. Jimmy |

clyde i have extensive aluminium repair exp, and i think if it is repaired properly, you are good, but no one ever does it right. options are do nothing cave and pave it disassemble and boil it out and fix it or have the bad cut out and replaced. i'd likely just cave and pave,to minimize the structural damage and get back to riding it.paint it and be done.the fuel capacity loss is minimal. scott |

I found some frame covers on eBay and they're on the way. I'm just gonna cover it and pretend itnever happened! |

"Pulling the dents would leave the creases weakend." it is rare to find equipment to do dent pulling on aluminium.it is supposed to be warmed carefully and the dent pushed out from the backside.and if the part is annealed, you really can ruin it fast.it either crumbles and falls to ur feet.or it works LOL. i say cave and pave ! |
