OK tried search function got frustrated trying to find info. Removed muffler for upgrade. Noticed there seems to be to much material around were torca clamp went, on aft side of muffler. When it was clamped it bulged the muffler right at the bottom of relief slot. And it doesnt seem to have been leaking bad but it was leaking. Looks like the clamp it self was holding back the leak. Anyone else seen this before can I just use some muffler tape of somesort to seal it? Also what purpose does that spring serve? it just pulls on the shaft for what reason? maybe pressure on the inside to hold in slot etc? (Message edited by spdrxb on June 26, 2009) |

use the permatex copper exhaust sealant at the connection, and that should do the trick. i believe it's what the factory uses also. spider! what spring are you refering to? (Message edited by ustorque on June 26, 2009) |

The spring on top (visible) that attaches to valve shaft above the cable pulley. |
