2007 XB12S

In the manual it says to use new o-rings when re-installing the oil fittings into the swingarm. But, the parts book doesn't show any o-rings. I plan to see if there are any when I take the fittings out and see if they are the same as for the drain plug.

Any other ideas?

Bruce, in the Uly parts book the O ring is listed at the top of the Swingarm page without a figure reference.

It lists 4 things without figure references:

11105 - O-Ring, oil drain plug
11110 - O-Ring, fitting
11290 - O-Ring, fitting, neutral gear switch
11408 - Retainer, fitting, wire clip

The bits that the oil lines connect to is identified as:
63579-06 - Fitting w/11110, 11290 & 11408

That seems to indicate two different O-Rings but not having ever had one apart I couldn't say for sure.
It does seem to indicate however that the drain plug O-Ring isn't what you need.

Of course I'm also making the assumption that the oil line fittings are similar on an '06 Uly and that may not be the case either but hopefully the parts book might be arranged the same way?

The o-rings aren't listed that way in the Lightning book. The fitting has the same p/n, so I have made a note and will make sure I have some when the time comes.

Thanks

PS: it is funny that "O-Ring, fitting, neutral gear switch" is listed on the swing arm page. But, what do you expect with a bike with gas in the frame, oil in the swing arm, and a valve in the muffler?
