The repetition of this topic is killin me! Here's a kinda fresh idea. What about an interactive valve right behind the header, to mimic the same back pressure as a stock can when the valve is closed. Then, after the valve, a supertrapp with the correct amount of discs to mimic the back pressure of the stock can, with the valve open. Keep the servo. No loss of low end, and some more noise? Think so? Has anyone tried this? I'm not an exhaust guru, so opposing opinions are welcome (and educational for me). I AM in search of more power. I just hate to lose that sweet low end grunt. |

Want a crazy exhaust idea? The headers don't merge, they both go into the muffler, exit in the rear chamber, two valves-one on each side,opening to the atmosphere, like the race pipe, so when they are open, it's like straight pipes. When the valves are closed, exhaust flows from the rear chamber to the front chamber through many small holes(3/8", enough to have the same area as the stock muffler outlet) into the walls that separate the chambers, and back to the rear chamber through the middle pipe, exiting on the bottom. Same torque, same quietness, loud as hell when the valves are open |
