This is going to start a war. Check out American Sport Bike. Al has a shoot out of all exhausts. I have a race can, if I was to get rid of it I'd go with the ops. |

I have a Drummer on my Firebolt...love the pipe. I'll be putting a Special O.P.S. on the Uly one of these days. ...so the answer is both! (the Blast has the Buell Pro Series) |

I looked at the Shoot out. i still cant decide. i have an xb9. OPS is cheaper the drummer is louder. They both have to be better than stock. Anyway i was just trying to figure out if the drummer is really worth the extra 175 bucks |

I have a drummer and I love it. and in my opinion the billet aluminum cap and finish alone of the drummer is worth the extra $175. |

I have a special ops. And have heard a drummer on a buddies bike. They do have a slightly different tone but not HUGE difference. People are right bout the aluminum tip. But I do kinda like the dual tips dumping on both sides of the spec ops. |

Just put a Drummer on my XB12R and love it. My friend, Gearhead, has had two Firebolts with Drummers and now my wife wants one for her Lightning. Besides that, Kevin Drum is one of the best guys you'll ever work with. |

Love the Drummer. Both the pipes looked pretty good for my casual purposes in the shootout, though I liked the Drummer's curve a tad better. But the deep, rumbly glasspack music of the Drummer really gets me. And it avoids the "ticky" component of the exhaust sound that all-metal jobs always seem to have. Plus the aluminum cap looks really good. |

Depends on what your working on Froggy. Thread compound may work better in certain applications. |

Compared side-by-side with my buddy's 12R: Drummer sounds like a built small-block with a Borla, all thud no staccato. Awesome low-end torque. SpecOps sounds like a big-block drag car, or bangin' on a open 55-gal drum. Loves higher RPM's. Pick your own poison, they both rule. But the best part- when we ride same speed two-wide, the very small differences in our tire diameters and (therefore engine RPM's) produce a beat frequency that sounds like a WWII bomber! This would make Erik proud. |

Eh... go with the Hawk that Cheese posted, at $175, who can compete? For me, the almighty dollar would be the deciding factor. Leaves you with more money for wings. |

I have the Drummer and have nothing but good to say. But I haven't heard anybody say anything bad about the OPS. But here's what I noticed with the Drummer. Easy instal (even for a mechanical klutz like me) More power all the way through, deep and loud. |

with the spec ops you can still use the exhaust servo.. the drummer doesnt have that option, so the servo will have to be disconnected, and then you will have the check engine light on all the time, unless you ecmspy it which will add to the cost of getting the spy.... |

you dont have the check light with the drummer you just leave it plugged in and it does nothing so no check engine light and yes i have a drummer but i have also never heard anything bad about OPS but i do like the look of the drummer better |

Either...get the one you like since both are good. I have an Ops and love it, know people with Drummers and they love 'em too. No wrong answer. |

Between drummer and ops I went with drummer because I liked the craftsmanship and Finnish better but for sound and performance I think they are as good one or the other. |

The O.P.S. is great pipe, uses the stock muffler valve, works well with the stock ECM. Has nice dual outlets. Odie is a real nice guy. The Drummer is a great pipe, doesn't use the valve, works well with both stock and race ECM. Has a nice fat single outlet. Kevin is a real nice guy. Boy, am I glad I don't have to make this decision again! I was lucky to get a good deal on a used Drummer the very day after I got my bike. I would be perfectly happy with an O.P.S.
