Has anyone experimented with louvers in the plastic cover under the tail section to move more air? Would there be a problem with dirt or water getting in there? Just wondering... |

I think he meant that the small, tight louvers like the ones swordsman installed in his air box would work well on your tail section. They would allow air to flow without allowing too much dirt, mud, water, ect to get slung into your tail. |

Make sure you remove the plastic cover from the bike before you start drilling into it. http://www.zxforums.com/forums/zx-6r-forum/14462-fi-light-need-help.html (Message edited by not_purple_s2 on June 18, 2009) |

Yeah D - just giving you an idea for pre-made louvers. Those things come in all shapes and sizes. I think as long as you face the opening on the louvers towards the back of the bike, you shouldn't get much crap in there. |

i'd think it'd still be hot cuz of the fan exhausting into the tail section area. might be more effective to block that off. |
