Since I've chopped open the airbox, I've noticed a significant flat spot in the throttle when I'm taking off from a stop. Just as I crack it open and let the clutch out, the engine bogs and bounces a little... it feels a lot like taking off on a Blast. I guess I'm going to have to datalog to see what's up, but it feels like it's too rich. I plugged in the stock maps (was running a modified EEPROM with some Xopti tricks), but the lugging is still present. With the airbox opened up, shouldn't it be just the opposite problem, if anything? ~SM |

The initial twist of the wrist is letting way more air than the engine can handle, causing the flat spot. You should be able to tune it out. Data logging is your friend. |
