Tried a google and badweb search, didnt find anything on the T (OEM pirelli, not the regular diablo). Anyways, just finished a 5 day road trip on the XB12Ss. Just rolled over 3600 miles. Cant recall mileage before the trip, somewhere in the low-mid 2000's. Anyways, lots of twisties on this trip so the tires were fine. The last two days had some straighter roads but the tires always looked fine. This morning was just about getting home, from LA to the Bay Area. At the first few stops the tires looked fine, still had their shape. By the time we were 40 miles from 152 (Pacheco Pass) we stopped for gas and I noticed the tire (rear) had a large flat spot in the center. The wear bar was also almost even with the tire. Front tire still has a perfectly round profile, but the wear bar is getting closer to even (thread looks fine though). Guess its time to get a front pitbull to match my rear and get those Michelin PR2's on there! Just curious if this seems crazy or if this is a common mileage to get a flat spot like this. |

The fact that you got that many miles tells me you haven't been riding hard enough. That's normal to high miles for that tire. |

Haha what type of riding are we talking about? In the twisties, no I am not the fastest knee dragging crazy out there but I do enjoy the twists, in a straight line I think I have a problem with my right wrist being a little to flexible . I love to floor it! But regardless Im glad I got good mileage . Stoked for the Michelin's, should overall be a better tire and last 3X's as long. |

I've been running "T's" since I got my 12. It's time for my 5th rear at 18K miles, so that averages out to about 4500 each. Once after riding with the HRHooligans through the country we came upon a great spot for pictures. I didn't have my cam with me that day so I made it a point to go back the next day. Round trip was about 185 miles from home. I rode the slab all the way up and back. (sometimes at 90mph when safe) When got home that night, you would have thought I'd been doing burnouts! T's are great on mountain roads, but don't really hack it on the interstate. BTW, when I get my next set, I'll be putting on only my 3rd front. 9K each, that's not that bad. |

The T's tend to get hot and destroy the center of the tread on extended interstate rides. The first couple of times I was like "WTF is all this black crud???" when I got home. |

I got 5k outa the orignal T rear on my 08 12R. Switched to Rossos front and rear, and at 5k on those I'm needing another rear. |

Sweet sounds good guys! While this long of an interstate ride is not the norm for me, I am hoping I dont burn through the (EXPENSIVE) Pilot Road 2's as fast (dual compound, should help). The tires were holding there shape perfectly until yesterday but I guess it was the 6-7 hours at 80mph that killed them. |
