Hey Guys, I just bought a new Laptop and have two kits of the VDSTS cables.Keyspan adapter, and software etc ... I have tried to install either kit I have on the new Laptop which is running Windows Vista , and can`t seem to get it to open after the install...I thought maybe the New Computer was at fault ,so I took that one back and got another, Same thing.... Will this software run on Windows Vista???????????? IT seems to install ok, But when I go into programs and hit on the link to open up vdsts , a window pops up saying, " TechnoResearch Inc. has stooped working... A Problem caused the program to stop working correctly.Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is availabe. Well I am not holding my breath waiting for windows to find any solution as it never does.... Do I have to be hooked up to a bike even to open the program? When I installed the disk, a window pops up showing me 4 different folders, So I click on the Vdsts Satandard folder and go ahead and install that... it all installs But that damn window always pops up with that saying up above... Damn just about time to take a Bix AXE to this new Computer and this damn software I`m lost.. Never had a problem with XP as the O/S but others have said they use Vista as well no problems and I do right click on it and choose: Run as Adminstrator... I`m lost guys... Hope ya can help me out here, As I got no more damn Hair to pull out..Thanks YEah I`m starting to Talk to myself Not GooD! Do I need different software for Vista?? On their website, Vista is not listed. That would be my first guess in trying to resolve this. |

Does the laptop have to be hooked up to the bike even just to open the software? btw there is the link for the download: http://www.technoresearch.com/Downloads/downloads-VDSTS and excuse my typing not use to these damn laptops...} Wonder now IF the Keyspan adapter for xp/98 will not work with Vista?
