So my buddy has a magnaflow muffler and said that I can have it. I was wondering if it was possible to put it on my XB9s. Im gonna go to a couple muffler shops and ask them what they can do one of these days. Im just wondering if it would make some power or even sound good. Or if its too much trouble otherwise Im gettin a drummer.

Preybird1, There is a section in the knowledge vault on this very exhaust which used to be offered as a fitment to the XB models.

Hmm..

aftermarket exhaust system: average of let's say $500 - depending on which brand you get. Then you can claim credit for bolting on some parts that you bought.

make your own setup: probably a max of $200 and you can claim credit for MAKING it yourself!

I'd opt for the latter if I had the skills or tools to do that type of work. Go for it Kevin - I'm anxious to see pics of your work.

Do a little looking - car mufflers on a Buell are more common then you think.

just tell henry u want to do a muffler for a buell.he has the equipment to make them if he runs out.he can do the mandrel 90 elbows in any tubing size.also has flowmaster and magna flow mufflers.he also has the wide type clamps for the joints of the tube.he has and can get mufflers in 2 in or whatever u need.call or e mail him.he is a nice guy i went and talked with him at length about what i needed. if u make ur own and have a muffler,i say u need a 90 elbow in ur tube size, and the wide clamp in ur size.he does street rod custom exhaust so he has everything u could ever need.and he is a fab GOD --and a good guy.

and the wide clamp will work, and not show from under the chin fairing
