Is there an undertail kit that will add some trunk room to my XBR? Stock barely fits my keys and a hat! Not looking to do the external bag thing. |

Haven't done it yet, but I'm considering buying a seat and cowl from ebay and making them into some kind of trunk. |

I don't want to keep bringing my backpack everywhere I go. |

Remove ur inner trunk box like I did. Take off the plastic. Lower the undertail. Pull the box out. Done. Only problem I have is with small stuff. But the way to deal with that is the girlfriends make up pouch. Problem solved. LOL. I'll get some pics up. I can put a hat in there now. Not much, but better. |

I had the box out when I was messing with my blinkers but it didn't look like it was sealed well, ie. dirty/wet |

Well thats where the makeup bag comes into play. What are you looking to store in there? Its not like your gonna fit anything big in there even if you get an undertail that adds 2-3" onto the bottom. Most people just store info(insurance/registration) Some tools(tool kit) I tend to add $20 Visine. Hat. My 12 volt power thingy that I wired in. Glasses/sunglasses. If you want more space then whats there, your gonna need to go with a tail bag. |

"... considering buying a seat and cowl from ebay and making them into some kind of trunk." I removed seat foam & cover from a spare passenger seat and fastened a nylon kitchen cutting board to it! Drilled holes around cutting board perimeter for a cargo net. Looking at that concoction, I promptly bought a tail-bag. It's convenient. Appearances aside, it's not water resistant. |

Ratfink - The other day all I had in there were my helmet bag (rolled up small) and a hat. My hat gets crushed beyond recognition!!! I don't think I would even trust sunglasses in there. |

Thats pretty cool! Considering cutting the bottom out of the tail and dropping it down a little. |

I like that idea. That seat will never be used by me and the extra space would be nice. |
