Hi All ! I've been out of the buell game for 4-5years and want back in. I found a 2007 super TT at my local dealer. It still has not found a home as it is unridden and new and steeply discounted at $8999.00 I actually like this model a lot, but noticed some changes in the engine covers from 07 to 09. Is this a big deal ? should I forego a TT and just buck up for a 09 lightning ? |

Well to be honest I would steer clear of the stealership. If you keep your eyes open you can find an 05 or 06 xb12 for $6000 or maybe even less. |

Steeply discounted at $9k? The MSRP was $10k. Thats only about 10% off. |

I bought my 08 xb12r in september and paid $8150.00 for it, You should try offering the dealer $7500 for it. |

'08's have several engine upgrades. Some here will tell you they don't like the changes, but seeing how the improvements were garnered from Buell Racing, and my '08 XB12R is the best-running Buell I've owned so far- I highly recommend the '08 and newer Buells. |

Maybe I should re-check that tag. I could have been less, I was trying to keep 4 different bikes in my mind while I drove home. So what exactly makes an '07 subpar to an '08? |

I'd walk if I were you...I paid less than that OUT THE DOOR in 2007 for mine. Offer him $7500.00 as was said. |

Joe, in 2008 Buell switched to a new fuel injection system, and the cover difference you're seeing is part of the new setup. However, if you'll do some searches around here, there are a whole lotta' people that are irked with the changes. Most people seem to be reporting crummy fuel economy, though the new system allows a few more RPMs. There have been reports of engine stumbling and sputter too, but I think that's pretty consistent across all year models. ~SM |

I spent a good thousand miles on a 09 Uly, I just loved the feel of it. Nice and smooth, way better than my 06 ever was. No stumbling, no sputtering, no other issues. Fuel economy was about the same as my 06, but the 06 is broken in vs the 09 had only 300 miles on it when I started off. |

I bought a new, leftover '07 xb12scg last year at a $1500 discount. Runs great. |
