I just took off my stock mirrors and was wondering what others have used to fill in the hole from where they were. I thought about some bolts but nothing that I thought would look good. What have others used to fill the holes?

I got Crgs from american sport bike and they came with plugs for the holes. You can check and see if he'll sell them without the mirrors.

They have a section of these fasteners with the nuts and bolts.
I think they are used for auto interior fastening.

Local harley dealer had some small black snap in parts that were like a flat head rivet and really cleaned it up nicely.

I got these wicked cool, chromed skull plugs with long braided leather tassel fringe. Oh and chrome.

Not.

Thanks for the info, I think a trip to the HD dealer is in order. Rather go there than WallyWorld, they have big boy toys.

I put in some black set screws, makes it look like they are serving a purpose. Hex screws always look spiffy!

I would think that one of the many different body panel fasteners from your local auto parts store would do the trick. Lots of sizes and shapes to choose from, and many just push in. Usually around $4 for a box of them.

Sounds like a good place for a RAM mount.

i did that same thing and today was my 1k mile service. apparently the s3 had the mirrors on the faring and they had a little push plug for like 50 cents a piece. works very well and is very very simple.
