Does anyone know how I can get my hands on a good voltage reg. Is it very common to have to go through 2 or 3 VR to get one that works? |

Is it very common to have to go through 2 or 3 VR to get one that works? No, there probably something killing them. Your VR dying sounds to me to be a symptom, not the illness. Check to see if you stator is healthy. |

The more common problem is Connector 77. Here is a good write up: http://docs.google.com/View?revision=_latest&docid =d4rbxwr_20dq5khf&hl=en |

The stator is new and seems to be working fine 13.8 at idle and 26-35 vac off idle. When I check the output from the VR to battery it is only 3vdc. I am stumped the stator, VR, and Battery are all brand new the fuses are good and there are no wires going to ground! |
