I'm taking my XBS on a trip next week, and I'm looking for pegs that are lower than the standard XBS pegs. Does anyone know if the ULY pegs are lower/allow more leg room? Will they fit an XBS? Any other suggestions, moderately priced please. |

Uly pegs are about the same drop as the S pegs. They will bolt right up. |

What he said^. I know of nothing lower. You could get a city x seat which is higher. |

I photoshopped on a CityX seat onto this bike, the seat is semi transparent so you can see the difference between it and the stock seat.
Id say its about an inch higher. It could help a bit depending on your individual needs. |

If you go lower than the S pegs, stay out of the twisites! It's unreal how often I hit my pegs with the standard S pegs. I have an R tail section now ( a couple inches higher ) and LSL R pegs now. |

You can get the Ulysses footpeg mounts, they will bolt right up, and drop you something like 3". I did that, and now have the cornering clearance of a Goldwing. |

My brother has a CityX, I have an XB9S. I have a standard seat and Select Seat...to compare the 3: When not sitting on them, order of height (shortest first): standard, Select, CityX Order of firmness (firmest first): Select, standard, CityX Because of the firmness, when my 195 lb arse is on them, order of height (shortest first): standard, CityX, Select The Select is def taller than the standard, and the gel compresses much less than the CityX. My brothers CityX seat is a bit worn out, so I am sure it was firmer when it was new. I find the CityX seat to be by far the least comfortable, squishy, hot seat I have used on a Buell. He uses my standard seat now. I would try the Select seat. |

Great info guys, thank you very much. Glitch: Damn, I can run very competitively in intermediate track day groups and rarely touch the pegs (feelers removed). WTF are you doing on the street Mr. Rossi? |

Cityslicker thought there was one set of Uly pegs that were lower then the S pegs. We never got as far as a part number, but I would be interested in a set of those as well. |

Slicker is a crazy fool. I looked up the part numbers for each of the 4 Uly pegs, and am only able to find 2 variants, one is the 06 silver ones, and then the new 09 grippy black ones. Also about swapping the footpeg brackets, you might need to change the rear brake line as being lower the brake line might be too short. |

Glitch: Damn, I can run very competitively in intermediate track day groups and rarely touch the pegs (feelers removed). WTF are you doing on the street Mr. Rossi? Since everyone can get a knee down now, I'm working on getting an elbow down. Seriously though... I've recently been working on my body position and riding technique, because of the toe and footpeg scrubbing. The worst places I've had trouble with are a few of the extra banked turns. They get me every time. I don't touch down hardly at all any longer. But, when Sanchez went down he hit a footpeg and that's all it took to upset the suspension enough to throw him off the side of the mountain. I don't want that to happen to anyone ever again. Ann and I were right behind him as he went airborne. These bikes love to lean, and so do I. Lowering a footpeg on a Buell is not something that should be recommended. IMHO |

Leaving for my three day trip in a few minutes. Took off the crossroads and put tubular bars on for comfort. For the pegs, your advice helped a lot. I duck taped a folded beach towel to my seat for extra height and leg room. Perfect price solution for an unemployed dude. Thanks for getting my gears turning. Adios, I'm heading for Zion. |
