I just noticed this today... my 09 has what appears to be an oil leak coming from the oil pump cover, but it seems to be seeping around the upper left bolt just beneath one of the oil lines (no the line or fitting are not leaking), not at the point where the cover bolts to the case. I know it's oil because it stands out like a sore thumb on that black powdercoat. Is this common and should I take it apart to check or just bring it in for wty work? I'll post some pics later. |

if your got a warrenty dont touch that leak, they wont cover it if you tinker with it. take it to your favorite stealership (or the one with the best lube) regardless if you make it worse or better, they dont touch someone elses work for liablity reasons. |

+1 on the warranty. That being said, if you have access to an in/lb torque wrench, the setting for that bolt is 100-120 in/lbs. Might just try checking that particular bolt. The value comes from my '08 service manual. |

I checked the tq today and that bolt was loose. A couple of others were loose also. Cleaned it up with some brake cleaner and went for a ride... no more leak! Thanks much! |

Glad it was a simple fix. Sorry the bolt(s) were loose, but saves taking it to and leaving it with the dealer. |
