I just received this response from him: ---- "just got around to installing ECM this weekend... install it. turn key on and check engine light comes on and stays on while running... ran a code reading on the ecm says EEPROM failure... ECM's bad... went back to install my old ECM and works and runs perfectly fine" ----- He mentions nothing about a TPS reset and to my knowledge, mainly info from this forum, and experience this is a must. Does anyone know if this would be the typical result and code that would flash. I am not familiar with the codes nor have I ever installed a Race ECM w/out a TPS reset. Since he did not mention a reset it sounded like this could be the problem to me. Only other thing I could think of is a defective ECM. Any and all knowledge would be much appreciated. If the DTC can be cleared and does not reset, soon as power is connected. If needed i can get you the ecm file to that ecm then reflash it. then reset the tps to your bike and test.
