Hey guys I need your expertise here. Just got my bike out of the hospital and after dropping $1400.00 on her I still have issues. I do believe that this issue may be separate from what I took it in for although it was not experiencing these issues prior to taking it there. The red start/v-twin engine diagnostice/fuel pump primer button fails to initiate the sequence and the bike will not start. (The light also does not come on when lever is pressed to on) When I turn the key back off and on again the light will come on and the sequence will run and the bike will crank. Is this an electrical problem? My handlebar button assembly has taken its share of abuse, sitting out in the rain and all and the bike is 6 years old. All of the writing on the buttons has faded away. Would replacing the harness/handlebar assembly fix this solve this issue? What do you guys recommend? As dissatisfied as I am, I would prefer to fix this on my own. These gus had my bike for 4 months and I don't want to let them have it for one more day. Also they said that they checked my steering head bearings and they did not need replacing, but instead an adjustment which they performed. Why does the triple tree still shake or feel loose over small bumps? |

Ignition: yep, electrical, have fun. You're looking for a frayed or worn wire. Check the headlight sub-assembly for the black wire inside the connector. There's another common one as the ignition wires come around the front of the steering stem. Steering stem shouldn't shake or feel loose. You already knew that. |
