Like the header says, I want to put some on but it looks like nobody has them anymore and they aren't listed on the Heli site either. I figure I might be able to source a used one, but I was wondering if there was a reason they where discoed and if anyone has any leads on places with the part still in stock. Also, are there any other ways to go about getting the up and back grip position change? Just in case. If you have them installed, mind telling me what you think and if it is worth sourcing the part? Thanks! -d (PS. Dark Horse Moto needs to make a product like this! That would make my day.) (Message edited by didactic on May 11, 2009) |

I just put them on about 6 weeks ago. I haven't been able to ride as much as I want, but they definitely feel better. Definitely worth it, for me. I'm still having clutch cable interference with the ignition switch, I got a new clutch cable for it I just need time to put it on. I got mine from American Sportbike, give Al a call, he may still have one. |

I've had my Helibars on my Firebolt for a few years now. In my opinion, it really changed the bike from sporty to perfect! I also added the Lightning footpegs, which are 1" lower, and the Zero Gravity ST windshield. This package really transformed the bike to a great sport-tourer, with emphasis on sport. It is very close to the riding position of a VFR800 now, but still sportier. But that's okay because any more comfortable and I will be sacrificing ground clearance or looking like the bike had a barn door fairing. If you are thinking about it, do it! It is well worth it. Plus, the quality, fit and finish is better than the OEM triple clamp. |

I had Heli bars on my Firebolt and otherwise set up kinda like Rogue_biker's and it was just about perfect. But now that I traded the 'Bolt for an 1125R, I miss the comfy ergos. Sigh, if only they made Heli bars for the 11... |
